This panel lets you adapt the language and date format of your course:

Language used: whatever you set here overrides both user and institutional settings, i.e., it forces a certain interface language on all users in the course.
Timezone: allows you to set the timezone in which the course runs, which overrides the timezone of your institution.
Locale used for course calendar: determines which day is considered the first day of the week when displaying the calendar (course announcements etc.) for a course.
